She made the choice to be a single mother supporting herself. There's really not much more to it.

I strongly dislike people like this, she is being so incredibly selfish. It's fine with me if she wants to screw up her own life, but I what did the kid do to deserve this? It sounds like it's too late to get an abortion, but that's what I would've done. Now she's screwed, and she's taking the kid down with her. Maybe adoption is still an option?

I know plenty of women who have kids all by themselves. They seem to be doing fine.

The problem is that if she applies for government aid, they might go after the guy and frankly, I don't want to pay taxes to support her kid (although I realize that I am already doing so for countless others).

I think that if she is unable to care/pay for it herself, she should adopt it out to a family that desperately wants a baby or she should give it to her mother to care for, because after all, her mother raised her to be the way she is.

I don't think you understand the Red Pill view of unwanted pregnancies by men, most here want to be able to opt out so I don't know what you want help with. If she is 6 months in she is to far into the pregnancy for her to get an abortion. If she wants to she can give up the child for adoption (I feel at this point she went this far she should take responsibility and not add another child to the system). If she really isn't going to ask him for any assistance that's her choice, as a friend try to be their for support, but at this point she is fucked, this child is coming.

How well equipped is she to take care of a child?

Side note: I'm kind of wondering if this is a troll post.
