You can tell she never loved him because she had the entire arsenal of personalized insults on hand. She knew exactly what words to use that would hurt him most and cut the deepest. He probably confided in her about his father because he thought she was someone he could trust with his vulnerabilities and could feel safe sharing that information with only for it to be stored in her brain as ammunition to use against him in the future and that makes me fucking sick. It breaks my heart that he loved that girl so much he paid hundreds or even thousands of dollars to have her floor done and so much more if he’s willing to do that much but all he gets in return is all that love thrown back in his face when she cheats on him and uses his pain as a weapon against him to try and make herself feel better. As a woman, I can’t help but feel like this is why men don’t fucking open up to people and end up holding everything in until they kill themselves outright or slowly and passively. Because they’re afraid of this shit happening.
