I don't dispute the possibility of trauma affecting memory, but the problem is this would also cut the other way, where they don't remember accurately other things, like the identity of the accused, or which other sexual encounters they had that were consensual.

None of this is of any surprise to me - it's all been about getting the conviction figures moving in the 'right' direction for decades. The CPS has been placed under enormous pressure to prosecute cases that don't stand up to scrutiny and the police to only gather evidence to convict for a long time; these tactics haven't worked so the machine has kicked back into low gear and is just slowly changing the goalposts for what constitutes as evidence.

Pretty soon other people will be able to make accusations on the behalf of women who are actively objecting to it.

How the hell is a text consent not consent? I will grant you some are a little more subtle, but it is defined as sexts and explicit images.

Wait wait wait... So to address a low conviction rate they seek to...remove things that help clarify the situation, aka evidence? Doesn't that seem...i don't know, biased as hell, illegal, unjust, probably some other stuff?

I should really look up this, it keeps popping in. Most people when they experience something awful don't have memory lapses, its etched into their brain for all time. What they're trying to describe is just...repressed memories, trauma induced theory is likely, like many things these days, popped up in the last decade and is total crap.
