when my teacher first announced it, she said “that’s right, boys, you have to do dance.” which I thought was kind of weird cause why was she singling out the boys?

It's not the teacher's first time teaching this class, she knows that she'll have to put up with a lot of griping from the boys about having to do dance. To nip it in the bud, she introduces the subject by telling the boys that they're going to dance whether they like it or not. And then during the class she praises the boys for being good sports about it, and making an effort in what they might perceive as a girl thing. Maybe it's a sexism of low expectations, and maybe it's reading the audience correctly, bringing them to where they need to be by recognizing where they're starting from.

So even sexism explicitly against men is misogyny, because it can only exist as a byproduct of a patriarchal structure, and the norms it might enforce

This is just part of the ideological software that all 18 year olds are installed with nowadays. It's even in pop culture, for example the clip from Cement Garden in the intro to Madonna's song "what it feels like for a girl". There was a young person in the subreddit today to introduce us to Real Feminism and how it was the true advocate for men's well-being.She deleted her post, so I can't try this out, but it was clear that she'd been programmed with these pat conclusions and canned reactions - if you pointed out some instance of misandry, she's probably recast it as misogyny, and feel intelligent and independent-minded and contrarian about it too, rather than brainwashed.

But as society became more gender equal since the 60's, and it became acceptable for men to grow their hair and explore their feminine side, dancing has become normalized among boys. But that's getting it completely backwards, isn't it?

Dancing used to be part of the heterosexual courtship ritual. It was a formal ritual, not only in the choreography but in the dress code and the protocols for asking out. Because it was formal it could all be taught to anybody, even people who didn't see themselves as gifted in dancing. And because it was the only way in town to meet girls, boys were motivated to learn the steps. Since the 60's there's a lot more emphasis on informality and authenticity, so there's no romantic benefit any more to being a passable dancer who can go 1-2-3-4 without looking at your feet too often, you have to be good enough to be the John Travolta of whatever scene you're in. So yeah, a lot of boys don't see the point any more, it's a niche hobby like learning horsemanship after the introduction of the automobile.

I feel sorry for these young kids who are taught this "men and society hate women, men are bad" nonsense as a legitimate worldview. It might take even decades before they realize how wrong and harmful those confused and hateful thoughts are - for society and themselves.

this is the doublethink of feminism. it's shocking. any type of sexism is still misogyny. at this point a woman could quite literally come out and say they hate all men (which plenty of women do in fact say) and it'll be pinned on misogyny. hating men is still hating women. war is peace. ignorance is strength.

That’s what I don’t undertand, there’s this feminist I know and I try to explain it’s not woman’s fault that men’s rights have been pushed aside it’s society’s fault, but she claims that men and woman isssues are created by the patoriachy. She won’t understand that not ever thing is men’s fault

As insane as this sounds, yes, this is what they push.

Redefining racism and sexism as ONLY something that those with 'power' can do is a very, very new thing. So even if a woman is blatantly being sexist against a man, it doesn't exist, or is somehow misogyny. There was a post, i think near the start of the year on here, that there was a teenage girl who raped the boy she was babysitting, this was justified by some insane woman as her 'getting back at the patriarchy'.

'Patriarchy' is the new excuse and they twist and change everything to be the fault of the new boogeyman(or 'devil' if you will). Its an easy explanation for them and requires zero actual critical thinking. Female teachers mark down boys up to 20% for the same work? Patriarchy. Women have an in-group bias for women in almost every level of society? Patriarchy. Women 'apparently' earn less, but spend 80% of the wealth in the world? Patriarchy. Mothers push what is traditionally known as 'toxicly' masculine ideas, but not fathers? Patriarchy.

Its like duct tape, put it on anything and the problem definitely goes away(/s). Literally any actual investigation into these problems shows that such an excuse is total bunk. But, before you can do that, they change the topic to women, again, even in specifically male problems. Like suicide 'yeah but women attempt more', which isn't true to begin with. But they repeat these lies, over and over and over, until people have the 'it is known, khaleesi' school of thought.

The past 20 years, people have seemed to just think worse, not question things, basically, the npc meme given life. It drives all these terrible, awful ideas that they have no actual justification in believing. It pisses me off that people cannot just think, a tiny bit better for themselves, independent thought is dying for some reason.

This is probably the most cancerous contemporary ideology. You simply can divide people in two groups arbitrarily by gender or race these days. One is classified oppressor (usually straight, white men) and the other oppressed and from that point on, any discrimination against the former isn't thinkable anymore and can be brushed aside or even framed as discrimination against the latter. Even if there are such power structures that benefit men and disadvantage women, they are not so pervasive that instances of sexism against men and misandry could not exist at the same time. At least if they were our society would look vastly different and have far less disadvantages for men.
