I’m (M, 27) convinced my friends daughter (F, 5) is mine

I slept with a woman, Bethany (F,24) 6 years ago.

We slept together a few times over the course of a year but lost contact.

I admittedly was not the best person during this relationship- never abusive, not violent but I did cheat once and caused a lot of emotional distress which I deeply regret and I’ve aimed to be a better person and go to therapy.

I’ve been friends with Bennett for 9 years and I consider him to be my brother, when he told me he was dating Beth I’d told him of our past and he told me he understood but she didn’t feel comfortable being around me, which fine.

Beth has a daughter called Ella who turned 5 last month, I’m the only one in our friendship group who hadn’t met Ella because of my history with Beth.

It was my wife’s baby shower recently and since Beth is expecting my wife wanted to meet her as it’d be nice for her to know another woman with a child of a similar age, Beth bought Ella with her but spent the entire time avoiding me.

When I spotted Ella it was honestly like looking in a mirror because she looks eerily similar to what I did at her age.

I’m shocked my wife and others haven’t noticed because Ella is just so much like me, even certain mannerisms that I’m probably imagining.

I don’t know if I should sit on this info since Bennett has legally adopted Ella or to come out and ask them but even then what would I say? I don’t want to ruin their relationship or my friendship with him.

And again, should I tell my wife? This would devastate her.
