Obviously not, it's a form of discrimination against insufferable women and they deserve it.

Also, mature white women never ever were sacred cow of anything. Feminism is about empowering young, single, white women. Once a women is old, mysteriously doesn't get "empowered" anymore.

No, there are black, male Karens. The stereotype is the american soccer mum...because of the tendency of entitlement.

An example of such was that guy who was a birdwatcher and has a scuffle with some woman in a park about her dog, the woman was a racist and a karen, he was just a karen.

given that

a) Karen is a reflection of the entitlement attitude of certain people, one demographic is showing up more than any other simply because to point out any other demographic that act "Karen" especially race attracts attacks from white knights, feminists and race baiters. you will find the equivalent across religion as well

b) that very same demographic that is practising the "karen" is predominately of one particular side of politics that likes to attack men( and mens rights) and claim equality in the name of feminism.

karen is nothing new, there have been similar names in the past like tracey, shaz, barb, keith, chad, and particular names belonging to ethnic communities( you can go look them up for yourself because I'm not going to give fuel to race baiters), not to mention the more derogatory forms such as c**nt, Pr**k, di**head, and feminist ( which is not derogatory but genuine stupidity) etc all to denote people that society would be better off without.

no any discrimination based on race or gender is not acceptable, but to equate Karen with race or gender is to have been blind for the last 50 years.

Crying sexism at someone for calling out bad behaviour is just stupid and I'm fed up of this tactic. The only reason you're doing this is because it happens to be a woman that's on the receiving end. Or are you telling me you're going to defend these women who go around harassing people for no fucking reason that are just trying to do their jobs or go about their day? Yes to racism. Because it refers to a specific demographic and is used as an insult and in hate. Another commenter referred to other first names used to reference other ethnic groups, those slurs are racist, too.

No to sexism. Because it refers to a specific type of woman they hate, not them hating the "Karen" for being a woman.

Boomer is ageist, Karen is racist. Fortunately, Boomer seems to be decreasing in use. Hoping Karen does, too. Slurs of any kind don't help where we are in society and further divide us.

This is how ugly stereotypes begin. They start off defining a small group of people, and it then transforms to include anyone who is female and white.

Originally, an abuser was just that, an abuser. These days is refers to any man who may raise his voice, slam the door,refuse to have sex with his wife or stare at his wife.

Is stereotypes are dangerous, its because sooner or later society uses it as a slur against anyone who meets the criteria on the surface.

So if we decry the stereotypes against men, surely we must have the same standard when it applies to women.

I am against the use of "Karen" , except for joking. Let's not reproduce feminism's behavior and make double standard. I consider "Karen" as rascist and sexist.

But It is really funny when feminists get called "Karen". Today, Black Victim Card > White Female Victim Card. So when they oppose it, they get called rascist. It is really amusing to look at their struggle knowing they pushed term like "mansplaining" and that now they are on the other side.

I did customer service at numerous places when I was younger and older white women weren't the ones acting entitled and the demographic most likely to complain. I don't want to sound sexist and racist and call out the demographics that consistently acted entitled. That they are singling out older white women isn't fair, and it's not reflective of the norm. Women are already conditioned to shut up. None wants to be a nag. So woman already censor themselves a ton from this one phrase that's exclusive to women. They try to be the cool girl where's it's all good while she's dying inside.

Even in porn when women are being abused and humiliated she smiles and acts like she enjoys it. A lot of the police and doctors don't take women seriously and if she complains they don't listen. Even for extremely painful diseases it takes women a long time to be diagnosed.

A woman is considered to be a rude bitch if she doesn't smile and has a neutral face. Women feel pressure to not only put on makeup like a clown, but to smile like one constantly because to do otherwise makes you a bitch. A man can have a neutral face and be safe from seeming like an asshole.

When my mom was in Manhattan a guy tried to grab my mom and force her into his car. He did this in front of a police officer. My mom tried to get help and said she doesn't know him. The guy told the police officer that my mom had an abortion and was mad because of that. The police officer believed the guy and told my mom to go home and take a bath and relax. He didn't try to help my mom from the kidnapper. My mom had many older brothers and was used to fighting men do she managed to break away on her own though she's very petite.

This is an extreme example, but if you search many rape victims don't even get their crime investigated at all. I saw an article in the New York Times about investigating rapes in New York City and a huge portion of rape victims and those accused didn't even get interviewed by a detective. Thousands and thousands of rape kits are not even sent for testing. Less than 2% of REPORTED rapes are convicted.

If you look online, many women complain that they suffered with debilitating pain for years and years saw many doctors before a doctor would take them seriously.

The judicial system and health care system already is very dismissive of everything and blames everything in hormones or emotions and thinks she's hysterical.

I feel that women are already under a lot of pressure to shut up, smile, and act happy, and they are already treated with great disrespect and mostly not believed. Now women are even more scared to speak up because she might be a Karen. I heard of a woman being scammed around $100 by her landlord and she was afraid to say anything because if fear of being a Karen.

This is really upsetting to me because women are already expected socially to act happy, smile, shut up, and that this Karen thing even exists is showing this cultural bias. Like I said, I've done a lot of customer service and they are actually the least likely demographic to act like a Karen in my personal experience.
