From what my fiancé tells me, it sounds like his ex-wife definitely abused him (mentally and physically) and he can barely admit that it was ABUSE and makes excuses for her and waters it down. No surprise when society maintains the idea that men don’t suffer domestic abuse. It’s maddening and I feel for any man that has to go through this - whilst at the same time facing stigma / disbelief when opening up about it. It’s truly sad.

Correct me if I'm wrong but how does an increase in the risk of online abuse for children equate to an increase in domestic violence? Aren't they 2 separate types of abuse? Online being specific to the internet and domestic is abuse occurring in the home from people close to the children either caretakers or relatives. If online abuse is a concern then wouldn't monitoring their online activity and possibly restricting where they browse be a possible solution? Or is concern for your child and restricting their access now considered domestic violence?

I saw something on tv a while ago saying “females and kids are experiencing more abuse because of COVID. Seek help here” or whatever it said. Just like this.

It pissed me of so fucking much because not only it’s forgetting about a males abuse, imagine a male that’s being abused seeing this. He’ll feel worthless and it’s showing him that he shouldn’t seek help, which is more abuse for him.
