"you're going to end up alone" is a panic driven declaration of terror that SHE is going to end up alone with nobody to pay her bills but herself and her non existent retirement investments.

I think they are missing two key things with this kind of comment. First, nearly everyone ends up alone because spouses don’t typically die at the same time. Women outlive men by around seven years, so statistically they are likely to end up alone (in their end years of course). Second, there is also a disadvantage to being with someone who is hard to tolerate. I was in a terribly lonely marriage for eight of 10 total years (and I’m sure she was lonely as well although her parents pretty much lived with us). I’m on my own now but feel much happier. As I grow older, I know that quality men are harder to find than quality women (I hear this all the time). I’m hopeful to have a long-term partner I can love, but I’m totally at peace that I may be alone for a very long time and I’m ok with that.

Ending up alone is hardly a bad thing! Men are inherently more solitary - it's biological/genetic.

Women have the problem with ending up alone. So this is simply narcissistic projection of HER concerns!

There's a story from ancient Mesopotamia, and I can't vouch for its validity, but I always found it amusing. You see, after a violent storm, a bridge was badly damaged and almost completely unusable. The men were dragging their feet in repairing it, and so the women all came up with a solution: they would withhold sex from the men until the bridge was repaired completely.

Sex strikes like this actually have a long history, and I've heard actual recent utilization of them between Kenya, the Philippines, Colombia, and Greece.

If you think about it, this kind of threat is almost like a sex strike in a way.

The beauty of the situation is the fact that they can stomp their feet and go red in the face in anger, but what's the prize here? Really, that's what you're threatening us with? That a man-hating feminist won't date me? That she won't give me the pleasure of going home every day to get shrieked at? I think it's more directed at MGTOW, but still this threat assumes that men and women are same. A common feminist theme but the fact remains men can still find parters later in life much easier than women.
