Unpopular Opinion: Even though I don’t like feminists, I think that r/Feminism is actually a good and „well behaved” sub

I posted a "no means no" drawing there yesterday The thing is, eventhough the post is flooded with comments, 60% of them were banned. The parts i got to see when i got notified about someone commenting on my post sounded maybe a little critical but overall respectful and ok. If you're a butthurt idiot youd probably get offended but you cant please everyone. I like the sub in a way but i have a few issues with the "ill ban you for having an opinion" policy, eventhough they're mostly put in a respectful way. I also feel like a lot of woman in this sub are more feminazist than feminist. Of course not all of them, but I've met a few. Also i wanted to say something about you not liking feminsits. I get it and i dont blame you. I myself consider myself a feminist but i disagree with the whole movement going on right now. People are offended with the slightest detail. You draw a nude woman? Youre the problem. You hit a woman in self defense? You're the problem. I kind of wish people were a little more reasonable. We already have equal rights so what we're all resolving now is basically the social and moral side of the whole thing. The only thing missing right now (at least in most countries) is mutual respect. My best friend loves this quote: "Equal rights, equal fights" And i couldn't agree more. I dont even know if im making any sense anymore lol But i guess what im trying to say is that people already have equal legal rights. What we're going through now is resolving some social issues and buthurt people who get easily offended. But if a woman hits a man, she shouldnt be surprised if he hits her back (and the list goes on...) Eventhough feminism or meninism aren't needed in most areas of the world, its still a nice ideology to hold on to.

There are real reasons for some opinions to be really unpopular.

btw, more people should try to reason with people in that sub.

Yeah. In a similar manner, mensrights was quite tame until they banned MGTOW and TRP.

If they did the same to PinkPillFeminism, FemaleDatingStrategy and TrollTwoX they would become a bit more spicy.

I agree, it is a good behaved sub with rational arguments, I do not agree with most of the point being on feminism due to most trying to invalidate men’s problem then fix women problem but it is better then the PinkPill feminist where it is mostly about putting men down, also U would imagine a feminist coming from their sub reddit wouldn’t agree with most what is said here soo I don’t think me not agreeing is anything wrong on there part

I don't like the setting the bar too low for men mentality that's becoming common, where it's looked down upon for appreciating decency in men, as it should be expected. I think we should be thankful to each other for all consideration for others and their feelings, and we should be thankful for all the little things we do for each other in life.

Popular opinion is they don't think so, they want men to go above and beyond to be worthy of receiving any sort of recognition, while believing women should be celebrated for even existing. Many there hold ill will towards all men and it shows. Too much effort is taken to vilify men without consideration in creating a better future together, it's their way and that's it. But holding onto hate, letting negativity guide your actions, I can't believe that's the right course and that's the feminism subreddit.

askfeminists is the only feminist subreddit I've found that has any amount of kindness and consideration towards men. Even if there's a dislike for MRA there, they still are willing to converse and have understanding, because they don't have this overwhelming hate of men. They do have a special level of hate for FDS and PinkPills, and that's enough for me to give them respect.

Here's the thing about self-proclaimed 'moderate' feminists in the feminism subreddit. Even if they're not like the screechers that brigade here and call everyone incels they still hold the same views. The difference between radfems and mainstream feminists ( They're not moderates ) is that radfems want to destroy men. Mainstream feminists like the ones who hang out in feminism act like men are broken individuals and need to be saved from their masculinity the same way religion seeks to save people from sin. Either route is incredibly unfair and belittling towards men and I actually find these mainstream feminists worse because they like to pretend they care when in reality they still believe in bullshit like toxic masculinity and anti-male conspiracy theories like patriarchy.

Oh they'll tell you all the time that they care about men and do the whole 'feminism is for men too' spiel but in reality they're so far to the left they think they're the moderates just because they try to ignore the uncomfortable reality of the radfems. It took me awhile to realise this but this is how they think, they are not moderates, they just think they're moderates because they don't have anything else to compare themselves to and consider all right wingers to be satan.

Also yes, they dismiss MRA issues constantly if it doesn't fall under their narrative, there is no way you could get them to talk about female on male rape and abuse on that sub because they would just dismiss everything and downplay it. This is one of my ultimate litmus tests for finding out who the real moderate are, that and getting them to tell me what their opinions on patriarchy is. The weird thing is, you can actually get some of them to admit women on male abuse is a thing and exists, but they can never be convinced that patriarchy is nothing more than a conspiracy theory, they have been utterly indoctrinated.
