No, neither is good. People use the word “feminazi” and stuff like that to describe the radical feminists.
There’s rough stuff on both sides. I’m just suggesting that we try to look a little deeper at what leads to these “extremist” views. Not excusing the views, but I don’t believe that most people are born as assholes. It often is as a result of some sort of trauma.
But I agree. It’s not an excuse. It’s a reason. And instead of vilifying these people, we should probably not just fight assholes with more assholery.

Or, just a thought. Those of us who aren’t radicals on either side can be intellectually honest, and not try to paint the other side as ALL radical.
I think most people just want to be happy. And people who’ve gone off the deep end can make any ideology seem crazy. Saying all feminists are hard core radicals is just as bad as saying anyone believing in men’s rights is an crazy incel.
I looked at this group because it seemed interesting because there IS a lot of toxic masculinity, men aren’t supposed to show emotion, and stuff like that. But a lot of people in this sub seem to want a war on feminism.
If we’re talking REAL feminism, we should be on board. Full equality is the only real tenet.
The fringe “kill all men” crowd are just that. And they suck. But luckily that’s a small minority.

Sure. But I think you get a lot of empathy back if you give it.
I find people who seem to think everyone in the world is an asshole tend to act like assholes. And people who love most people tend to act really friendly and positive.
It’s really a “you get what you give” situation, and if you only care about how you are treated, without trying to empathize and treat others well, ESPECIALLY if they seem shitty at first, they’ll just affirm how shitty they can be.
It obviously doesn’t always work, but I’ve seen a lot of people turn around and be cool when given a chance. And if you’re nice to everyone (or at least most people), you’ll seem really cool to everyone, so your life is a net positive overall.
Everyone taking sides based on gender or religion and all that shit is what keeps us unhappy and divided. We all have trauma, and it’d be cool if we could all recognize that sometimes it makes us act a little shitty.
