There's no justice in this world, at least as far as the media's concerned. Remember when the assistant tried to take the mic out of his hand to give it to the next reporter, and he basically made that motion to prevent her from doing so that got all sorts of play for a day or two, and the media want to bat for Acosta trying to make the case that the video was doctored or something?

It's not like there's no scenario in which CNN wouldn't throw him under the bus, but I think so long as the video can be edited in such a way that it makes Acosta look like he's damaging Trump's image, they'll keep him on. Worst case scenario is that they give him his own editorial opinion show that he's clearly been showboating the better part of his career for; he's not built for asking questions, he's built for trying to spin narratives, and the people he's up against are savvy to that so they can check him on his own terms, such as when Ivanka totally deflated him by denying his existence when she walked down the stairs.
