Hahah, then there is no common point of discussion between an educated and gender studies person. You spent 3 years in a subject which teaches you how to hate men. I don't think you will ever agree with reality. Gender studies is ah echo chamber for illiterates.

I had this come up in an argument with my family a year or so back, while I was defending men's rights. One of them asked me when I personally have suffered the effects of some of the issues I talked about as though that mattered.

I don't need to be raped by a woman to know that the laws surrounding it need updating.

I don't need to have had my foreskin cut off to know that it's wrong.

I don't need to have attempted suicide to know that men's mental health needs addressing.

Me specifically having been affected by these issues doesn't change anything about them existing. I'm willing to bet you personally have never been legally disallowed the right to drive, but you still know it's an issue that needed fixing. This is literally what ad hominem is. You're arguing about the attributes of the person, rather than the merit of the argument.

For someone who claims to be too smart to stay quiet you sure do come off as too dense to use common sense. To claim that the issue of toxic masculinity is pushed onto men by other men is ignoring the fact that over half of society is made up of women, many of whom doing the same thing. This argument is you trying to deflect blame where blame is due. As for your second point, if you actually read what I said I made it a point to show that the people complaining about those things were a group of people who aren’t in line with the actual subreddit itself. That would be the equivalent of me going onto r/feminism, seeing a post saying that men cannot be raped and jumping to the conclusion that r/feminism as a whole believes that. As for your third point, that’s just idiotic. Those are all issues that are minimized by society, not fabricated, which is why men are trying to make it into a big issue. Just because it’s not talked about doesn’t mean that it doesn’t happen. To claim that men hardly ever get raped is a disguising show of your udder disregard for men and rape victims and general, as well as your ignorance on the topic. To claim that the court does not favor women in child custody cases is absurd. As far as the emotional disregarding, you yourself just did that by minimizing all of these genuine issues under the umbrella of “that’s just woman hating propaganda”. In conclusion your refusal to accept that women have equal responsibility as men in issues that negatively affect men, along with your utter disregard for anything I’ve said shows me that you’re just here to pick a fight and won’t listen to a thing anyone on this sub says, cherry picking select responses to try to push a false narrative about the subreddit. Have a nice day and I hope you learn how to read and how to have empathy one day.
