So, this involves a gender-swap post I did on AITA. It’s personal so bothered me, and also makes me think the advice there can actually be dangerous/harmful

It was about something that happened between me and the girl I was dating. Something happened during intimacy that I felt was a violation of my boundaries and consent, and made me very uncomfortable. It lead to my ending the relationship.

I went to AITA to post about it to see if I was overreacting. I was called the asshole, and told I was being overly sensitive. It was rather unanimous and insulting- some people said she should break up with me. This didn’t make sense to me, I knew I wasn’t wrong and couldn’t help but feel that if the genders were reversed, people would feel different.

So I decided to test just that. 2 weeks later I made a new account and repost the story- but with the genders reversed. Now, the post appeared to be a woman talking about something her boyfriend did- and the reaction was the complete opposite.

The top voted comment was telling her that what her boyfriend did was sexual assault. Many said she should report him, almost all said she should dump him. Universally, he was considered the asshole.

That SERIOUSLY messed up my perception of both AITA and the dating world. It’s not just the few commenters who have such insanely double standards, it’s the hundreds or even thousands of upvoters too....it makes me wonder how much relationships have ended because of the advice on that sub, and how many men have been convinced to stay in abusive relationships because of being shamed.

But AITA has had this done to them about a dozen times so far, the results are the same and conclusive, it is hyper biased against men, and any time people agree more than 30% with the man, it gets locked, and more than likely deleted.

AITA is a shitshow. If you're a man posting there regarding an incident with a woman, you'll be branded an asshole by the feminists and manginas there. Unless she hit you in the face with a frying pan or something, in which case they'd ask "what did you do?"

I got banned from AITA for using the word bitch to describe the person the poster was describing. Well I got warned, I got banned for saying FU ban me I don’t care. People are so sensitive now.
