Hot take: it's actually not that bad from a men's rights standpoint. Yes it has its moments. She implies, briefly, that one of the guys who tried to kill her did so because she turned him down for sex.

But honestly I see it as "empowering" in all the right ways. The movie portrays women being violent, even crazy. And the plot line basically revolves around Harley trying to show all the male criminals that she can be just as bad as they can.

So while it shares that "empowerment" plot line that you see in a lot of movies, it executes it very differently, and in a way that isn't sexist against men.

It might not be perfect. But I think it's a big improvement over a lot of things that are coming out of Hollywood right now.
