So, we recently had a huge snowstorm here, the news showed numerous police, firefighters, nurses, all of who were going well beyond and above, working very long shirts, etc. But didn't show any actual snowplow drivers, just them from the outside.

I noticed something when they showed the police, firefighters they always showed at least 1 (or more) female cops and firefighters but never showed any male nurses. It also made me wonder if the reason they didn't show the snowplow drivers is that there were not any female ones.

So, I asked one of my female FB friends who is a nurse about it and she said that it was her shift who was on the news and they have 3 male nurses, they were told specifically by the news producers they only wanted female nurses because "the men will get all the thanks from being cops and firefighters", holy crap is this what the world has come to.
