This is reminiscent of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy, where feminists said that white males could not be victims and didn't deserve the country's sympathy because of their privilege. If the lives of boys (many of them were barely 16 years old) aren't to be valued, then what chance do grown men have of ever being cared about by these extremists? And when they were called out for their hateful and ignorant attitudes, they doubled down and said they "just wanted to start a conversation".
