I have a problem with feminism, why does it get so much attention?

Here's something that I don't think many people understand. Most of the powerful people (politicians, businessmen, celebrities, etc) are just using feminists as tools to achieve their own goals. The same applies to some of the other communities, such as SJW, vegans, LGBT community and any other community that talks about a "popular opinion". Taylor Swift was an anti-feminist. But look at her right now. The CEO of Bianca footwear is a man but look at their "wamen want more" ad. Or look at everything that Hilary Clinton did prior to the election. She didn't give a damn about gay people's marriage until she realized that it's going to get her votes. A member (or maybe the leader) of black lives matter stated that the Clintons were using their movement so they could get votes. Do you think no one realizes how wrong all of this is? They do. Everyone does. It's just they perfer to use these people's ignorance

Edit 2: There's something I forgot to mention. Remember Mark Hamill's "fraud" tweet? Ivanka Trump was just trying to have fun with her kids and look at how Mark Hamil responded to it. Where were feminists? Why didn't they defend her? Now imagine what would happen if someone would've done something like that to Hilary or Chelsea Clinton. I will quote a part of a commentary I left to a feminist wondering about the MRM. It is relevant here. I otherwise advise you to look Karen Straughan on YouTube, to sort by oldest and 20+mn long her videos, and to start watching. It will explain many things you find annoying. What follows is highly inspired by her video "the tyranny of female hypoagency", a must watch.

"I would say that the quintessential gender roles are what we call here malagency : the idea that men are perceived as hyper-agentic, and women as hypo-agentic. Agency being the ability to make meaningful decisions, this means that men are perceived as all-powerful, and women as all-powerless.

That is, women are treated as objects. Unable to do anything of importance. Anything that happens to a woman happens to her, not because of her, but because of other circumstances. If a woman commits some horror, it's because of bad circumstances, because of past trauma, because someone made her do it. It's the idea that women are perpetual victims. A woman was beaten up? It's monstrous what is done to her. A woman is addicted? Well, she had a shitty past, she needs acomodations. A woman is violent? What was done to her for it to happen? There must be some explanation in her past. Or maybe she was influenced by some man. Anyway, no matter what complaint a woman makes, it must be valid and paid attention to. After all, women aren't able to have a meaningful impact, so unless we care about their complaints, their problems won't get fixed.

In opposition, men are treated like God's and demons. Everything that happens is because of them. They are responsible for things. Anything that happens to them is as a consequence of their actions. That means they get credit for what they do, but also for what they didn't do. A man received a beating? He must have deserved it. A man is addicted? Well, he made bad decisions. He should control himself. A man is violent? He's a monster, lock him up. A man who complains is the refore not a man. A man is all powerful, so he doesn't complain. He is in charge. He fixes things.

In short, women complain, and men fix things for them.

In traditional societies, it results in men being out in charge of everything, including women, in order to provide for them and to protect them.

In more affluent societies, where women are less in need of being protected and provided for, that means that women start to complain about the restrictions, which aren't so beneficial. As men are in charge of fixing what women complain about, they give women what they want.

But those gender roles are inscribed in our instincts. We are constantly wondering, women and men alike "are the women safe? Do they need something?" and to satiate those instincts, we find smaller and smaller things to fix for women. And as the external sources of danger to women disappear, the only source of danger left is men, the ones who are all powerful and all responsible.

So we necessarily see appearing people blaming men for everything hard women have to face/ever had to face. They say things like "the history of mankind is the history of the oppression of women by men". And they look for what next women are victims of. Women are victims of air conditioning. Women are victims of how men sit, of how men talk. And the burden on men to fix everything forever increases.

Meanwhile, men being seen as hyper-agentic, any complaint they have get dismissed and ignored. And as the burden and the blaming increases, we see them killing themselves in droves, checking out of a society that is willfully deaf to their complaints, or even sometimes lashing out at it..."

So, you see, that is why you see all those double standards that annoy you.

Female privilege. The world was built to provide for them. Men are expendable for women. People love hearing about women problems, but call men with problems crybabies or weirdos. Fathers for Justice are treated as nutcases, even though they have a very valid goal.

If women were actually oppressed, Feminists would not win.

If the elites show favor to Feminism, it is because Feminism benefits the elites.

The elites get to erode your privacy, your individualism, your right to be left alone, so long as they say the magic words 'for the good of women and girls.'

You know how if you wanted to discuss their religion with a believer, you would need to find a mature, grown-up one who would not feel threatened over being a little self-critical about their beliefs, u/Fragosus? That takes courage. It's the same here.

The whole shtick of the modern feminist movement is that they try to sell their quasi-religious views to the general public in such a way that "only a horrible, amoral, bigoted and sexist monster would disagree and question us, and sure you aren't like that?!" and it is, quite sadly, mostly working.

So this is the category that your attempts to have an open, respectful and critical conversation about these ideas get you classified into, hence the outrage. I tried to have a lot of such conversations myself, and it very rarely works regardless of your effort; you might think that this was because you weren't sufficiently polite or supplicating, or maybe you weren't "acting in good-faith" enough, which ironically, is the excuse they often list when questioned, but that isn't it, because they don't hold themselves, or their own to this standard. It's not about you.

This religious intolerance is not a bug, it's a feature!

It is an explicit part of the system they've built, designed to make it more competitive in the War of Ideas, and they exploited the hell out of it to increase their market share on the Marketplace of Ideas, and it's working exactly as it was designed. It gets attention since there are these fake statistics which garner a lot of discussion and make a huge circle jerk between all feminists (regardless of gender) thus creating a mob mentality which makes a sense/feeling of 'community.' In their world, Feelings > Logic/Factual Evidence

I think some people see things in black and white, and they have no middle ground. All men are rapists and they love war. They're incapable of being loving fathers. All women are potential rape victims and hate war. They're all capable of being loving mothers. I don't believe in pigeonholing people. You are who you are regardless of your gender, race, religion, sexual preference, etc. Women need to stand up for themselves, and stop tearing men down to do so. There are white people who stand against racism. There are straight people who stand against homophobia. There are men who stand against sexism, but aren't allowed to be a part of the movement. We all have rights. They should be equal rights.

The one thing feminists are better at than anyone alive is complaining, whether they have a valid complaint or not. (99.9999999% are completely invalid)

To be a feminist is to be a faux "victim" to a bunch of imagined and completely made up "issues".
