I agree but it's not just "men" its everyone. Most men are just afraid of expressing legitimate feelings. Especially when men now always have tried to but always get the bullshit "Man up" and "You can do better, quit being a pussy" etc. Now they always feel as if they need to "Man Up" and therefore suffer in silence. It's more of the stereotype of "Men always need to be the leaders and not ask for help" that makes this happen.

Hi again, u/TC1827. I can tell you from personal experience that there are some men out that who try to care for and support one another. And conversely, there are women out there who will talk nasty gossip about one another. I suspect that part of what we're up against is that the capitalist system, as we've come to know it, causes us to see one another as competition.

I hate to answer your general platitude with another platitude, but I'll quote to you Mohandas Gandhi:

Be the change you wish to see in the world.

You can't control how other people behave, but you can choose your own behavior and you can seek to surround yourself with people who support you rather than people who pull you down. There are a lot of toxic people on Reddit. I've had numerous vicious keyboard warriors on Reddit call me names that they would never imagine calling me to my face without hiding behind a computer.

I saw your post "When they call us incels". I think that the way this word is casually tossed about as a virgin-shaming epithet is reprehensible and gross. I was actually thinking about making a post about this myself. I went thru a lonely phase when I was younger and it would have been really hard to see "incel" used the way it is and to see media outlets openly publishing articles suggesting that a lonely person such as I were to be monitored as if I were a terrorist.

Have you ever actually met a woman? Women are terrible to each other. They treat even their "friends" more like frenemies. They don't create long term meaningful relationships like men do. They use each other to get validation, help and social acceptance, usually at the expense of other women.

Men compete with each other. We help each other by forcing others to "be better" by competing with them. Get better or be left behind. Men help other men by being tough on them, and teaching them how to fix their problems, instead of just listening to them and being sorry.

Women are humans being, men are humans doing. I would much rather be a do-er then a be-er.
