When your own father steps in to stop your tyranny and helps the ex-SIL out, you know for sure that you have failed as daughter and mother...

[–]wwstewart 23 points24 points25 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

My ex's family have helped me with legal fees against my ex. Lol.

[–]disayle32 10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like quite a story. Care to share?

[–]wwstewart 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well, she suddenly decided to leave. Turns out she had been talking to a co-worker of mine and who knows who else. I quickly confirmed she was seeing several people. She took our kid out of the house, made a bunch of bad choices, kept leaving our kid with these dudes...so my FIRST ex wife started a GoFundMe, and my second ex's family has been helping with both legal fees and child care expenses when I need the help and get into a bind. Her family has been, for the most part, amazing.

So I'm guessing your still friends with your first ex?

[–]wwstewart 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We're polite. We have two kids together. We'll butt heads once in a while, but for the most part we get along okay.

[–]rationalthought314 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

wouldn't be surprised. If an ex of my sister said she was a manipulative psycho most of my family would agree.

[–]Arhamshahid 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At that point you have failed as human being

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow I had so much fucking hope and was so sad at the end. :( those poor kids. That poor man, damn. That’s fucking awful.

[–]1LegendaryWombat 9 points10 points11 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Jesus, that stress must have been overwhelming, i am not surprised it went so bad. Essentially the wife won by indirectly killing him.

[–]jonnyhaldane 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How fucked up do you have to be to do such horrible things to a child?

That woman should not have kids

[–]iloveyoudeft 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

If the guy had killed himself would she have felt remorse? I feel like women don't have emotions. When I had fights with my ex, I knew I was much smarter and competent so I would be able to really hurt her if I wanted to - but I never did, because I felt bad knowing that it was THAT easy to break her. I didn't want to do that. Not just because she was my ex and I loved her at the time, but because she's another fucking human being who goes through the same pain as me. Why would I ever want to contribute to someones hardship? Do you guys also feel this?

[–]rationalthought314 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I don't want to argue AWALT vs NAWALT but a big difference between women who end up with bad guys is that the bad guy qualities is often what attracted them in the first place whereas with men it's the exact opposite. The problem is the chameleon aspect that bad women use to hide their problems and intent so an unsuspecting guy gets into a relationship with a fiction and can't understand what happened later when his seemingly sweet supportive partner morphed into a nagging manipulative hellspawn.

I doubt the ex-wife presented any of these qualities when they first met and didn't during the first year of the marriage but eventually chameleons all drop the mask and it's often too late for the victim.

its called the honeymoon period , whereby red flags don't show up for several years... and then you are trapped

I had that from my ex

[–]rationalthought314 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"She wasn't like that when I married her." and "She changed" are lines of horror many ex-husbands and husbands still trapped have said so many times.

What's even worse is the number of women who do this without even realizing they're doing it.

Edit to add: I am female, and I'm constantly watching to make sure I don't act ways I don't want to act, because my instinct tells me to act like that x.x

[–]rahsoft 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sorry I respectfully say that they do know that they are doing it, its just that they think they can get away with it, and they often do.

in my neck of the woods, the police say that the arrest rate of women committing domestic violence compared to men is 3 to 1

[–]SaiNushi 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most women do, some women are just clueless.

[–]Jonne999999999 -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wtf so you dont do it on purpose

[–]SaiNushi 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Me personally, I purposely attempt to not do it. Most of the time I'm successful. The rest of the time, my bf is kind enough to call me out on it.

[–]caseyweisel 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women certainly do have emotions, just like men. But this lady OP described, she is a damn hellspawn.

[–]rahsoft 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

typical lawyers !!

had my ex( also a lawyer) lie to her own lawyer about me being petitioned for custody hearing( no doubt her lawyer was also stupid), then they both did this again to me and my own layer( failed to petition for a second custody hearing). The appeal for this situation was lost because the background culture of the judge was that they would lose face if agreed that a fellow compatriot( the other judge) was wrong.

I've worked/met with close to a thousand lawyers( for work purposes , not hiring !) over a three year period in the middle east with lawyers from all over the world and from some the brightest educational institutions( my ex went to one of them) and yet never have i ever come across so many incompetent, unethical and stupid people. I don't know what the heck they teach them, but there is some serious flaws in their thought processes....

[–]ld2gj 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That ending; those poor kids and that poor man. May he rest in peace and the Ex-Wife burn.

[–]AI-MachineLearning -3 points-2 points-1 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women are evil inherently

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I remember the day I sued my mother for custody right before we went into the courtroom she looked at me and she said “I don’t care what you tell them I will put my hand on that Bible and lie” and she did. But she also fucked up because she told me that and so what did I tell the court? oh well my mom just mildly threatened me that she would put her hand on the Bible my if she had to.

Guess who won custody? This bitch
