I am a man and I consider myself to be a feminist. I do not necessarily care what a dictionary says about words and their definitions. Because, in the end, the people will decide what a word means and words change all the time. For me, I feel there is room for men's rights within the definition of "feminism" and I have no quarrel with the name considering how equality used to look between the genders and how the fight for it began. I think one of the problems is that people can't unite under one label so to say. Some joke about being meninists, others think a more proper and unified term would be "equalism" (which I could understand), but I have a lot of friends (boys, girls and apache helicopters) who are feminists and men's rights activists at the same time. What is your guy's take on the matter? Are you strictly opposed to calling yourself feminists and do you feel that you need another label? If so, what is your definition of the word and what do you think other people's definition is? :)
