I've had a few friends like this, and I think it's a common issue.
These are men who were raised to have no feelings. Or perhaps a very limited number of feelings - anger and happiness. I don't think they were intentionally raised this way - their parents didn't say "I want my son to have no feelings". I think it was subconscious thing, or perhaps an auto-pilot way of rearing boys.
So what are these guys like?
Typically they will never have been in love. They can date a girl for a few years, feel nothing, and when they eventually break up, it means nothing to them.
They use people. Their friends are temporary. Someone who will go drinking with them. Someone who will go to the cinema with them. But these "friends" are replaceable. There is no love or care in the friendship. Often these guys don't have many old or close friends.
They fake their feelings. They know they're supposed to act a certain way when x or y happens, so they act, making it seem like they're reacting appropriately.
On the one hand, these people are toxic. When I learn one of my male friends are like this, I distance myself from them, as I know they don't care about me. My friendship with them is transactional.
But on the other hand, it's tragic. No one choose to be emotionless. It's unlikely these guys want to be like this. Maybe they don't even realise they have a problem, or maybe they do realise, but they don't know what to do. So they continue faking being a fully grown human.
Can any of your relate to this?
Have any of you thought about this before?

I'm a regular here. Why don't you read the post. I'm not saying men shouldn't have emotions.

I never suggested that.

My title doesn't mean all men have no emotions. Again, I'm not going to defend something you're making up.
We both know what's going on here: you've decided to interpret my post in your own way (nothing to do with what I'm saying), so you're going to try to force this meaning onto my post, and force me to defend something I never said.

This is too good.
You're saying I can't grasp basic English yet you say this:
If you're going to try to blame your mistake on someone else's English, you should try to understand basic English grammar. "They" does not have a singular form. Unless you're one of those weirdos who doesn't believe in gender pronouns?

It's a pattern of behavior. The obvious things are mentioned in my post. Feeling nothing for women is an obvious one for me. People should be able to feel love/feel sad when they are in a long term relationship/dumped.

I had a woman who wanted me to go to a funeral with her. It was a guy I didn't know, but someone that we'd both attended school with years earlier.
He died in a motorcycle accident and left her something like $20,000 in his will.
The funeral is wrapping up, and she says to me, "What a loser he was for leaving me that money. He always had 'a thing' for me."
We're at the man's funeral, and he's there dead and she can't stop herself from being a cunt.
This is the same woman who couldn't handle me moving on and dating other women, so she went to the police and said I sexually assaulted her.
Tell me why I should express any emotions to anyone.

You shouldn't let one woman (or a few bad eggs) damage your life.
By not showing anyone your emotions you're going to have very limited relationships with people.
Relationships with other people are the best part of life.

No I mean guys who are missing them. Obviously I don't think they're literally missing (like they're missing an arm or something), but rather their emotions have been totally suppressed or turned off.

I can accept you either have never met a guy like this or never noticed a guy is like this.

That's not what I meant. I'm not saying walking down the street, having a chit chat with a stranger I can tell they have suppressed emotions. I mean I am good with people, get to know people very well, have real conversations with people.
The reason I asked if your girlfriend mean nothing to you is because you seem to be taking this a little bit personally, as if I was directing this at you. I asked you the question, expecting you to say no you're not like that, so I could then respond saying yes, you are just quiet about your feelings, you're not suppressing them.

Did you even read my post? I'm not talking about people who don't want to share their feelings, I'm talking about people who don't have feelings.
I'm not talking about introverted people. Maybe read my post before getting so angry and abusive.

You are the sort of person who gives MRAs a bad name.
Abusive, angry, bitter, lack of critical thinking skills, lack of reading ability, fantasist.
I genuinely feel sorry for you. Did someone hurt you?
[+]loganshishi1 points [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
And you're the type of weak willed faggot that runs to a Mra subreddit to spew nonsensical horseshit. I assume you must be a woman or some sort of soy-filled equivalent if you're going to bust out the "who hurt you?" line. But thanks for admitting your retardation openly.
Now go fuck yourself you worthless sack of shit. If I ever have the displeasure of meeting you face to face you'll be choking down your own teeth.
