I think this subreddit is more about helping mens rights than limiting womens rights. I have very little problem with this statement

This argument highlights the misguided arguments that are often used when defending the current system. These do not reflect my personal views.

I'm not sure if anyone is interested in philosophy but I think kant would argue that commiting infanticide would go against the catagorical imperative.

That's based on the idea that the fetus is a baby. No one disagrees that killing babies is wrong. The issue at hand is what do we consider a baby?

For arguments sake, let's assume that we are considering abortion as the act of infinticide. So we we have a perfect duty to not kill babies and we have a perfect duty to not enslave people.

The "murder" of the baby would take precedent over the enslavement. This is the mental gymnastics that people use to argue against abortion.

How stupid. If you have a child you don't want, you can simply give it up for adoption...or just drop it off at a hospital, fire department, or police station. There is zero requirement that you keep and raise a baby you give birth to.

TwoX is possibly the most toxic sub on Reddit. Anything and everything will always and forever be along the lines of men suck and need to be exterminated so the superior female race can take its rightful place of rulers of the universe.

That said....

I think it's a 4th amendment issue. If these women were really pro choice, they would look to the areas we have in common. For example, if it's your body and it's your property the government can't just seize, explain the draft or search and frisk.

The always about a woman's body all the time is extrodinarily self centered on their part. They certainly don't care about your right against unreasonable search and seizure. Your right to privacy is of little concern, unless you have a uterus.

Corporate America would very much like to remove the 4th amendment, and ironically, I think they'll use feminism to get it overturned.

It'll work because feminism is a dividing force, not a unifying one. So the "debate" is always framed as such. If they pointed out the 4th issues, then we'd quickly realize we all have it in common and there would be little or no debate.

It has little to do with abortion. The government just wants your stuff.

For me the reason that I think abortion should be legal is because I think people shouldn't be forced against their will to take on the care and responsibilities of another human being against their will.

Well, if we use the feminist line of reasoning (about men), they made that decision when they decided to have sex.

But that aside, in all 50 states the mother can abandon her newborn anonymously at the nearest firestation or hospital, so you don't need abortion to meet your requirement.
