In sync with the tenor of men’s rights activism in India since the beginning, the current protests continue to reject existing data and research that highlight the plight of women in the country. And if there’s one reform, among the many, that they forcefully seek, it’s the rape laws. And so, while the women who were able to tell their stories because of #MeToo continue to struggle with respect to inadequate legal recourse for their cases, the protesting meninists want to reform whatever little there is in the rape laws to be in favour of men.

Of course Vice would overlook a few "small" details with this article. Things, like, you know, the fact that over 52% of all rape accusations made in India are false accusations meant specifically to get revenge on a man by destroying his reputation.

Also, why the hell do they use the term "meninists?"

It was 53%, and it's a bit more complicated than that:

https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-38796457

From what I gathered skimming the article, it's like the 8% number used here, but just the inverse. The 53% is just cases that were dropped. That doesn't anywhere near prove that they were in fact false. Just like 8% of cases being proven false doesn't anywhere near show that all the rest were true.

The evidence from the Commission for Women is in fact far from conclusive. It classes as "false" all reports of rape that were dropped before they reached court, without analysing the reasons why.

So it doesn't distinguish between cases dropped because it was clear the woman was lying and those where a woman was put under pressure to withdraw her claim - or where there was simply insufficient evidence to build a strong case. Forensic evidence is rarely used in Indian rape cases, so it's often just his word against hers.

The presumption of innocence should go both ways.

I've since lost the source, but there was an article where someone went through and found that of all rape accusations in India, something like 70% were acquittals and, of all cases, something like 52-54% were either a woman trying to get revenge on a man who chose not to marry her or the family of a woman trying to "punish" a man after she eloped with him and got married without their approval.

Pah, stupid mehnz. You're doing all the wrong things.

You are supposed to admit your guilt, weep with humiliating contrition and quietly walk into the nearby complementary suicide/corpse-incineration booth. After you start inventing such a booth. See? You're behind schedule already, you lazy jerks!

Another good thing about Indian constitution is there judge can't decide the number of years to imprison a convict based on how he "feels". Punishment is totally based on the charges that are proven.

Judge cannot reduce the punishment from the minimum years that has to be given.

Men rights have to do lots of hard work to fight against misandry, gynocentrism and discrimination with men in laws and policies. No man becomes MRA until something happens to him while feminists are everywhere.

They got the "conversation" started alright, just not the one they thought they would.

Guys are done with this shit, and it's happening world wide.

Thank you "MeToo, for waking the entire masculine world up for us.
