We have really got to start tracking how often this happens. This isn't even the third example of this I've seen today. We need a tag or a site or a feed that specifically catalogues every example of:

Women killing and getting away with it in courts - dispite the fact the same crime would be considered a life sentence or death sentence for a man.
Proxy killings by women using others as cats paws or white knights.
Cases where the woman is obviously the abuser but the man is treated as the abuser.

Isn't she the one who turned off the water and locked the doors so that he could not wash off the acid?

Following more than 15 hours of deliberations, a jury of 10 men and two women unanimously acquitted Wallace of Mr van Dongen's murder or manslaughter.
However, they did find her guilty of throwing a corrosive substance with intent.
She will be sentenced at a later date.

In the UK she'll probably get a suspended sentence. Thanx Bench Book.

Wow... I can't even get my head around this. I would not be the least bit surprised if Rod Serling walked in from the next room to explain the moral of this visit to The Twilight Zone.

And how does a majority-male jury not convict, not even for manslaughter? Stand up for ourselves guys!

Fuuck sake! I'm sorry but I have to say something...

Start of saying im dyslexic so sorry for spelling and grammar. Also I've mentioned something like this on a different sub about the same tiral on a throw away account but it of course got down voted because people don't like the truth. so here it goes...

Okay so I was a jury for this case. Safe to say it was the worst 3-4 weeks of my life. The worst part is how the media twists things. (Idk who said the she turned the water off but that's compleat bull and didn't even come up in evidence).

We decided it was GBH because that's all we could do. The judge gave us a list of question we had to answer to guide us to a virdeict and one of those questions was 'at the time of the attack did she intend to KILL him?' And the answer to that is well... no. Becasue acid isnt a weapon used to KILL in that way she only intended to serious harm. And at the end of the day she didn't even end his life. HE decided to go through with euthanasia. Now onto all the false things going around- Yes, we came to the conclusion she was the one who harmed him on purpose. But that doesn't mean he was this man that was a victim to domestic violence. The media doesn't seem to tell the whole truths around cases like this. They didn't say how he beat her till she miscarried or how he cheated on her or how he chucked her out of the street while she was naked to name a few (both sides were very toxic). All this stuff came up in court but the media didn't seem to write about this becasue it, of course, it gives sympathy to the villain. Now, I'm not saying the he deserved it in any way. No one deserves that and she did get the sentence she deserved. 12years total if I remember? She didn't get of lightly in any way.

Other than the media what also ticks me off is how people assume we didn't call it murder becasue she's a woman. ( ps. I'm a woman). It would be the same facts if it were the other way around. I feel no sympathy to either side and I'm glad it's all over. But for some reason people give me no choice but to defend this case.

If you really want to give your opinions then please read up on ALL the facts and law. It's not that we didn't want to say it was murder but becasue we couldn't.
