Big news, scientists looked at countries with a one child policy, no retirement funds, and a very strong custom where only male children are expected to take care of their parents, and found out that some parent preferred to keep their male children because they don't want to be left to starve in old age. Yeah, this article is crap. They attribute that result to the "patriarchal nature" of those societies, pretending that men are privileged, when the reality is that men are more exploitable to their parents, to whom they owe to provide, while women are entitled to protection and providing from them...

And once again, confirmation bias manage to get half the picture, and get it wrong, ensuring feminists won't be able to fix anything...

Sex selective abortion probably has been an issue but there is evidence that the simplistic assumption that there is one fixed male to female birth ratio in humans is wrong and that it may vary in time, location and in ethnic groups. The assumption that anything above 107 is evidence of abortion of females is just an assumption.
