Farther evidence that feminism has nothing to do with equality. Women are given far too much benefit of the doubt as it is, which is why they get away with false accusations as well as perpetrating abuse themselves disproportionately more. A real change towards equality would be to stop always giving the woman the benefit of the doubt and instead to examine the situation more closely before jumping to conclusions

So, in reality, the guy you think has got his act together, the one who outwardly seems just fine, who would never hit a woman actually can--and do...No one knows what happens behind closed doors or in a relationship. Which is why we must give women the benefit of doubt. Always.

This is a ridiculous leap in logic. Right, no one knows what happens behind closed doors. So why automatically assume that must mean the woman is the victim? Everything said regarding how one can't always tell an abuser from a non-abuser applies to both male and female perpetrators

In essence, his argument comes down to "men have more physical strength, so women always tell the truth."

On average, one woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner in this country and one in three have experienced violence by an intimate partner or ex.

Because it's not as though >70% of non-reciprocal IPV is committed by women, or that mutual IPV is roughly 50/50. And it's certainly not the case that many women push and push their male partner until they either lash out or walk out, is it?

I made that mistake once. Never again.

So did many, many blokes - men whose names you'll never know and whose pain (enacted by a woman) never occurred to you. Still, I suppose it's all good fodder for your forthcoming incisive exposé entitled 'Men Need to Man Up and Commit to Women' or some such bollocks.

First, whoever wrote this piece of shit should have paid more attention in English class. Second, the bit about what happens behind closed doors is just as true when you use the word "men." After all, she may be abusing him psychologically, and one day he just snaps.

So when it was that time of the month when my wife would mentally abuse me and say I can’t help it , it just builds up in me! I would respond that I’m thinking of wife bashing and that just builds up in me. Note : I never hit my wife but just used that example to match her monthly harassment to me ! Physical or mental, it’s all abuse .
