SPLC blatanlty lies and declares MRA's to be "white supremacists". Which they base on the intentionally fake claim that Elliot Rodgers was an MRA (a thoroughly refuted claim that has no backing whatsoever).

I read through that thread, I couldn't see any evidence that it was necessarily a false accusation, and it kind of seemed like she was encouraged by a legal expert, saying her evidence was strong. Can anyone tell me why they know she's lying?

It's important to remember that while false accusations are under represented, that genuine rape victims (men and women) often are unable to get justice. If we act like arseholes to people who may have been raped we'll continue to be seen as neckbeards to be disregarded.

Can anyone tell me why they know she's lying?

I find it odd how quick bola and la is willing to call out someone for lying or not giving the full story, but only when it supports certain narratives. Generally something along the lines of 'if the police did that, then we aren't hearing the whole story'. To abandon that reasoning now makes me question the intentions and bias of anyone who is so quickly trusting her where they wouldn't trust others.

Now personally I don't generally trust the legal system and am willing to consider that there could be some funny shit going on (cops covering for someone they know is always a possibility, I grew up in a small town so I know how 'justice' works). But the lack of consistency is not something I'm willing to overlook, and as such I will thus take the stance that they have so selectively chosen to abandon.

I couldn't see any evidence that it was necessarily a false accusation

Apart from the arrest and charges of false rape accusation, something exceedingly rare.

Meanwhile her original claims had so many holes that it was already obvious it was a false rape accusation, even before her arrest over her false rape accusations.

Immediately trying to jump to "this could be a real rape" after she's been repeatedly caught out is not going to fly. We had people like you trying to claim that same bullshit with Mattress Girl too.

People like me? You don't know me, get a grip.

If someone is charged with something, and it seems likely that they did it, we're going to assume they did it? Isn't that the opposite of what we're going for?

[+]GadolBoobies1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

People like me? You don't know me, get a grip.

Immediately come here and defend a false rape accusation. Yeah, people like you.

Again, being accused =/= being guilty, and this girl had solid evidence, including physical injuries to her vagina not consistent with consensual sex, and was reassured by a detective that she had strong evidence.

You're the male equivalent of #believeallvictims, I consider myself an MRA, and I will call others out for lack of critical thinking, I'll not let this become an echo chamber.

[–]Akesgeroth 9 points10 points11 points 7 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, reading the case, it really looks like the cops are trying to cover for someone.

[+]GadolBoobies1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (10 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, no. Her original claim was chock full of bullshit and people were calling her out there too.

It's clear she lied and then got caught out on those lies.

Feel free to point out the bullshit.

If the DA thinks they have enough to proceed, then clearly they have some kind of evidence. In order to charge somebody for false filing, you usually have to show motive and intention. If they got that, plus if her testimonies to the police lack consistency, she's probably SOL. It's pretty rare that people get nailed for false charging rape claims and the DA most assuredly knows that those type of charges are especially a hard sell.

Basically, if they're charging her, it's because this is a slam dunk case with clear evidence to support the charges.

[–]Akesgeroth 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Except the way she tells it, the DA isn't involved. It's the cops waving a bunch of bogus charges in her face.

Mind you, this is a "Someone on the internet said this" case, so it might all be a troll as far as we know. The whole thing stinks.

[–]foxyramirez 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

How could the DA not be involved? That sounds super bogus.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It is. A bunch of SJW's have started brigading the thread.

Her story was complete bullshit, so now they're defending her no matter what.

I'm subscribed to this sub because I'm a supporter of the idea of Mens' rights movement. Mens' problems are often not taken seriously enough and it's good thing to be advocating for it. But that doesn't mean I'm going to blindly embrace every single post that appears in this sub.

If you want to call me SJW just because I don't automatically take side with you against women, whatever.

[–]Svarec 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Oh right, so now we're going to pretend our justice system is perfect and evidence can't be wrong? It has happened before, actual rape victims have been charged and convicted because cops were assholes and forced them to admit they lied.

[–]foxyramirez -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's the point of being tried by a jury of your peers. If the evidence is wrong, the justice system ought to sort it out correctly. Do you have any statistics showing the number of people wrongly convicted in these cases? I'm curious of how many times this actually happens per year.

[–]Svarec 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If the evidence is wrong, the justice system ought to sort it out correctly.

Yeah, but we know it sometimes does not sort it out correctly. In any way, the fact that she's charged doesn't mean that she's lying like you're trying to suggest.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/24/opinion/sunday/sexual-assault-victims-lying.html

Here's an article that lists some examples of actual rape victims charged with false report, but I don't think any of these cases involves jury trials. Either they pled guilty or the charges were eventually dropped.

[–]foxyramirez 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That kinda proves my point, doesn't it? You should always ask for your lawyer during questioning and never say a fucking thing until they show up. Don't sign anything, don't do shit at all.

That said, it isn't that uncommon for cops to try and pressure people into signing pre written statements. It's far more common in violent crimes than this sort of thing. But really, if they want to charge you, let em take you to court.

And I'm not suggesting that she's lying. I'm saying she probably fucked up by telling details wrongly when repeatedly asked about what happened. That's pretty suspicious. In the court of law, if they have motive, intent, and your testimony looks like it's bullshit, regardless of if it actually is or not, doesn't matter. What matters is if you appear to be guilty within a shadow of a doubt. If the People can provide the evidence to support the standard of guilt, then you're probably fucked. It may not be perfect, but it is the best we got.

Best of Legal advice is a predatory shit-hole full of feminist lawyers who want to hurt men, women and children for money. No need to exaggerate.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They're also brigading this thread.

[–]TruthGetsBanned 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well gee, I just WONDER where all those good men went and why? Couldn't be that this evil horseshit is shockingly common...no no...ignore reality.

[+]GadolBoobies1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

That the same feminists giving her legal advice that got her arrested for her false rape accusation pushed her to do so because they refused to see the original holes in her story is just ironic as hell.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Would you mind to point out the holes? I am a Leftist Misandrist Libtard that is blinded by Feminism, so I cant see them.

[–]throwaway46819[🍰] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To preface, I haven't checked the thread. I don't know whether it's a real or false accusation, and I won't comment either way on that.

But doing a blanket statement comparing MRAs to rape apologists is astounding. MRAs care about rape victims, but we also care about the falsely accused. If it was rape (and not a false accusation), then it is absolutely terrible that it happened, but don't blame the cops messing up on MRAs. All MRAs want is due process, and innocent until proven guilty. If that's "rape apology" to you, then you shouldn't be moderating a forum about legal advice.

[–]Svarec -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't get this sub sometimes. It's a fact that false accusations exist, but it's also a fact that real rape victims are often disbelieved and treated like shit by cops. By automatically assuming she's lying you are doing the same thing we fight against.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. OP is a hypocrite, thank god people see this and Downvote his/her comments.

OP, Feel free to call me a Left Libtard SJW.
