Ancient Slavery was prison labor as well.
That's how slavery was created in the first place: you took prisoners from your neighboring tribes and put them to work.

So happy to see prison slavery finally on the radar of MRAs! If for no other reason MRAs should push this issue because it so clearly demonstrates to even the layman how misandrist feminists are by their implicit approval of the slavery of men.

It's explicitly protected and set aside in the constitutional amendment that bans slavery (better described as banning slavery, except for prisoners). They were aware it was slavery even when they banned slavery, but decided this kind was okay and that the amendment shouldn't cover it.

I'm personally fine with prisoners working to offset or repay costs of incarceration, but any profit beyond that should probably be given to them as payment.
