Why I don’t want women to become ‘equal to men’ - the problem with saying that we are working towards women becoming equal to men is that it frames men and male cultures as being the optimum culture or the ideal goal that women should reach to become equal

Feminism's main problem is that it sells itself as a movement for equality but, really, only pursues goals that benefit women under a delusional and very dangerous false premise. Basically, that women are universally oppressed and that men have all the power in a patriarchal system, which is simply not reality. It is a pursuit of power for women, to try to match a non-existent ideal, or epitome of power, that does not even exist for men. It is a pursuit of power for women, to "balance the scales" and raise them above a non-existent systemic imbalance in power between in women and men, while also ignoring and dismissing all systematic power, opportunities and privileges women benefit from over men to suit their narrative. So, in literally every regard, feminism is a platform of corruption at its core. It's sole purpose is to gain more influence and power and then abuse that influence and power in whatever way possible to hate, harm and subjugate men, if not simply in retaliation for imaginary slights against women.

Feminism is not ‘for the equality of all people’. Feminism is not ‘the belief that women should be treated the same as men.’ Feminism is not ‘the movement to make women equal to men in society.’ Feminism is not equalism.

Feminism is the liberation of women and girls all over the world from the patriarchy and misogyny that continues to harm and oppress them as a class of people. Feminism centres women unflinchingly and unapologetically. Feminism is the conversation about women’s issues in the world; without having to add some tokenistic sentence at the end acknowledging that men also experience some things too. Yah, we know. But we are talking about women right now, so hush.

It's still framed wrong, but at least it says that feminism ain't about equality, it's about women. And it's also about silencing men and not talking about men's issues.

That should have been as obvious as getting slapped in the face with a wet fish (is there some other kind?), but somehow feminism has gotten away with lying about it's advocacy for decades.
