Holly Davis, 34, was initially charged with first-degree murder for killing Yue Jiang after hitting her car in suburban Phoenix in 2016 but pleaded guilty to second-degree murder under a deal with prosecutors.

Davis also cried and sought forgiveness from Jiang's family.

"No words can express how sorry I am," Davis said. "If I could bring her back, I would. If I could take her place, I would."

Her attorney said Davis had experienced a lifetime of tragedy and abuse and had been homeless and addicted to drugs.

Davis rear-ended a car Jiang, a college sophomore, was driving. A passenger in Jiang's car got out to inspect the damage when he saw Davis point a gun at him. Davis then walked up to Jiang and shot her several times, authorities said.

Then she killed in cold blood the driver.

How the fuck did she only get 25 years.

Davis fled but was later caught.

Why was she not also charged with fleeing the scene of an accident.

If the judge does not find her as a monster even though what she did was monstrous does that mean the judge likes what she did.

Where I live (Canada) this is the average “life sentence”. Although times can vary from each judge, 25 is seen as life over here.

How is it premeditated, if she had never met the victim before? How do you plan to murder a person you don't even know exists? How is 25 years in prison a pussypass, when men routinely serve the same time (or less) for second-degree murder?

Explain how she got a better deal than most men who shoot people dead on impulse, and I will concede the pussypass. The same exact story is probably in r/PussyPassDenied right now.
