The first review...

Simply put - this is an eye-opening book. You may find some of the views over the top but it counteracts the dominant feminist doctrine that is everywhere and has been for many years.

It claims that men are slowly starting to wake up to how unfairly they are being treated and talks about marriage in particular. Marriage rates in the USA have been tracked and men are shunning it in huge numbers. Reasons probably include what happens if the relationship breaks down - access to children on the woman's terms, paying out for the children and the ex-wife for many years to come, loss of the home and all wrapped up in a legal system stacked massively in a woman's favour. (this is the subject of another excellent book "Men on Strike ").

The book is quite hard on women and portrays them as largely uncaring people who see men as their "workers ". The author claims that the reason women are stronger in relationships is that they never cared in the first place and that is why men take longer to get over break ups. "Love " and romance is largely a myth and is the guise under which women operate to keep a man in check and earning to pay for all the rubbish that they "need ".

Part of the reason why men take longer to get over relationships is that they've invested a lot in it, and the women typically has a minimal investment. Also, the man's financial responsibility typically does not end when the relationship does.
