Single and Same Sex couples should not be considered a norm. The nuclear family is still important as the parents, mother and father, are still incredibly significant in the developmental health of a child. For single parents and same sex couples, they have to try a little harder to be as well adjusted, naturally. This is not something to applaud. This is something to be very concerned about and looked into to solve. As a gay man, I know my life might be a little harder with the choices I’m inclined to make, but so what? Life isn’t fair, and it’s what you make of it. The least I can do in this regard is not feel the need to tear families apart, nor to be complacent in this issue. Children deserve better than that.
