This is ridiculous. Just because someone believes it, doesn't mean it is true, and doesn't mean it deserves to be shared.

ADHD is not a disease. ADHD is a mental condition that affects the way information is process and the way the brain develops.

There may be an issue with over diagnosis, but that does not mean it is fake. The biggest issue is the "hyperactivity" part is poorly understood by laypeople, and so the active nature of young boys interferes with diagnoses of hyperactivity of someone with ADHD.

The issue isn't so bad for boys anyways - the symptoms of boys tends to drastically reduce as they get older and learn ways of managing their lives. On the other hand, girls' symptoms often get worse as they get older.

Anyways, I have removed this post. We don't need outright false, conspiracy level drivel posted on this subreddit.

I wouldn’t say it’s all false, but I do think the reason boys are more often diagnosed and then undiagnosed when becoming adult men is due to schools not allowing for recess to work off their energy. People who are really hyper due to a lot of energy will display symptoms of ADHD, and not allowing boys to participate in recess will cause them to be hyper.
