Or just fit all girls at the age of 11 with an IUD. No surgery and when she is ready to breed, it just pops out.

Far easier to mandate birth control pills - no surgery required.

FWIW, in the US, there would be armed insurrection within 48 hours of passage of a law to mandate either of these things.

I have had a vasectomy and had it reversed. Getting the snip sucked. Getting my fertility restored was more invasive, took longer to recover from and cost a lot more.

Getting a vasectomy or a reversal carries with it the risk of prolonged pain in the testicles. This pain can be lifelong.

Reversals are highly effective within the first few years but odds of successful restoration of fertility drop off with time. Success rates after a decade (going from 13 years old to 23) are typically only around 60%.

Vasectomies are not a good option for birth control. They are a semi-reversible sterility treatment.

OR just give men the option to opt out of financial obligations if they weren't planning on having children. Bet the rate of "unplanned" pregnancies would drop like a rock.
