This is all very true, but remember that obesity helps cause cancer. In fact, obesity does all the things smoking does to your health and MORE.

Unfortunately, the way we care mostly about women/children and not about men much at all, says they have to take their personal health into their own hands. You won't prevent cancer if life fucks you, but you can reduce it greatly by a good diet. Peterson eats meat and greens only. That helps his autoimmune disease. Dr Rhonda Patrick can tell you a lot about micronutrients, autophagy, etc. All of which help prevent cancer.
