So let me get this straight, she didn't like that she couldn't control him and get him to stop his Cannabis business. Had a mental breakdown over the fact that he wouldn't capitulate and he resisted her attempts at making him do what she wanted all the way.

Now don't get me wrong, there could be more to this story, but what he's doing is completely legal and being a Voluntaryist I've seen all kinds of stories about how Cannabis isn't really anymore harmful than weed and actually has quite a few health benefits for people with painful conditions. Plus he's a lawyer and a proper professional, so he's likely done proper research on the subject and isn't just some weirdo growing Cannabis in his basement.

As far as I'm concerned, more power to him, this is the exact sort of scenario Jordan Peterson predicted, you can't control a competent partner and she wanted control over him I think. The reason I think that is because of what she says after like the OP is saying, she wants him to provide for her financially, she's not willing to work or take care of herself, it's all his fault.

She says she was rich. She was never rich. She was dependant upon a wealthy man. This is why I told both of my children make sure you can take care of yourself and never give anyone this level of responsibility or control over your life. My SO and I split the bills 50/50 and we each keep the remainder of what we earn in sperate accounts. We have removed money as an influence to or marriage. Best thing we ever did. If we separated it wouldn't ruin either of us. We would just stop cohabitating so there would be a little increase in monthly bills for each of us.
