Why doesn't she just come out and say that in the world's poorest countries, women often have it worse than men. That's the only way that statement is true, and to try and use it to bolster any kind of feminist campaign in a Western country is stupid.

I don't think anyone in the West, male or female, is saying it's good for girls not to be allowed to go to school, to be forced into arranged marriages or to be paid less than men for exactly the same job. She's really preaching to the choir on this.

Or does she think that the tyrannical ruler of an oppressive dictatorship is going to see a photo of her tshirt and rethink his direction in life?

70% is a laughable estimate, it's probably upwards of 95%.
