Imagine what the backlash would be if a male was awarded with a women-only comedy bursary.

No way that would ever happen. So not really worth applying for if you're male.

I went to an all female comedy performance that was amazing they didn't make in fun of men in an an overtly sexist way. It was a charity for a woman's shelter. I had a great time and my money helped a feminist cause. Excluding men just halves the income you could make and halves audience your trying to get your message across. Why do these people think this a good idea?

I don't think it was really a back track. It was probably illegal to exclude men so they tried to ensure that men self exclude. There was no change.
