No one wrote like Andrea, whose ideas crackled beneath her words, and whose words thundered with the weight of their severity.

Andrea was obviously mentally ill. I tried reading Intercourse once and I couldn't stop laughing because her stuff was just so overwrought and melodramatic and just florid in their over-the-top extravagance; I envisioned her running around the room and flapping her giant lard-stuffed arms in between typing the sentences.

To read Dworkin and not see that she is certifiably mad is to not know how to read.

It will be a reversal, but it will not be progress. The overwhelming majority of men still believe that they will weather this. When it is made clear to them that feminism is not interested in equality but in violent subjugation of men, then the reversal will be total and uncompromising. I tis feminists themselves that will bring about the Handmaidens Tale, not conservatives.
