Its what happens when a generation of girls grow up hearing that a man even saying "good morning you look pretty today" is literal rape and they are told that no one can question victims.

They use it to get ahead, or get attention, and have no fear of repercussions.

IMO Trump needs to make it so false rape allegations get the same punishment that a man would have received for having raped the woman.

When we start locking up these harpies for 20-30 years at a time, I think this habit will be kicked the curb mighty quick.

Seems like every single day there's another article in the news about a false allegation, and another daily story about a female teacher having "inappropriate relations", "a liasion", etc. with a male student as young as 11-12. It's never called what it is - rape.

"But false allegations are rare!" - Are they? This program taught female students to say "no" if they didn't want sex, and cut the assault rate by 50%. Extrapolating from it, we can reasonably assume that half of allegations are flat-out false.

But federal US law Title IX (recently reformed), written and lobbied into the books by feminists (who also protested its reform) assumes guilt on the part of the male, based on the premise that a woman would never lie, and punishes him without an investigation.

It's definitely an epidemic. MGTOW is the answer.

It's easy to find articles about anything when you're specifically hunting it out -- I'm horrified by all accounts of violence against children and adults (of all genders) that I see in the news every day. I'm glad that teachers who abuse their students are being brought to justice. Sometimes I see it being reported as 'rape' - sometimes not. I agree though that any instance of such does fall under the umbrella of rape and should be called such.

And our culture does need to shift more in supporting men when they come forward saying they are raped. The majority of forcible rape cases against men seem to happen in prison by other men, and it's horrific that they are taught to suck it up like it's no big deal, or some right of passage.

I don't know much about that Title IX but if that is true and has been rewritten, then I'm certainly glad to hear that. The foundation of our justice system has and should always been that individuals are legally innocent until proven otherwise.

Anyway though, back to the linked article and me being called a "motherfucker" and "piece of dog shit" for logically asking how this is an "epidemic" when dozens of legitimate sources keep these instances of false reporting consistently ranging between 2-10%. I mean, that is where the statistics lie, so I find it to be interesting as to why people would start ganging up on me.

Those sessions included instruction in recognizing sexual coercion and the circumstances in which it can take place. Participants also had two hours of self-defense training based on the martial art Wen-Do.

Soo women were taught self-defense mechanisms and being able to recognize coercion before it happens (i.e someone slipping something into their drink; or threatening you into having sex.) You really shouldn't misinterpret articles like that to go along with your own perceived bias...50% would be an epidemic, but that clearly isn't showcased here.

I have to strongly disagree here. I think we can agree "stranger in the bushes" rape is fairly rare. While you would probably claim it's most often "he wanted to and was pushy", I would say it's most often she wanted to, and loved it... and then the next day regretted it for whatever reason. Perhaps her boyfriend or husband found out. Maybe her friends called her a slut. Maybe he finished in 10 seconds and left her unfulfilled. So she does some mental gymnastics, and all of a sudden it's rape. This program teaches women to think "Wait... did I say no?", and when the answer is no, it's not rape, and so you get an assault rate cut in half. I can't imagine how many men are rotting in jail, innocent of any wrongdoing, due to scenarios like that.

On the namecalling, it seems in general more common for the sphere of leftist / progressivist / feminist to do it. I'm just speaking from literal & factual logic here, not from assumption (which is what you're doing: "I would say it's most often she wanted it.") Whoa. Dude, no. That's a pretty unreal thing to presume and almost identical to when people say that teenaged boys must have "loved" being assaulted by their female teacher.

My cousin did not want to lose her virginity in some guys dorm room while he choked, raped, and beat her for over an hour (winding up in the hospital for three days.) Maybe she would have benefited from a program like if she knew more ways to physically defend herself - or perhaps not even enter the room if she could recognize any initial signs of the situation being predatory. That seems to be what this program intended on doing for college women, and amazingly succeeded at.

Do not make such wild assumptions about what happens to victims when they are raped, and similarly I will not make assumptions about what happens to male victims when they come forward saying they were assaulted. Cool?

The article you posted very clearly states that women were taught martial-arts and self defense mechanisms, which is what brought instances of sexual assault down. You can't engage in any real dialogue here if you're going to interpret something (like that article) for it to mean exactly what you want out of it. I'm going to nope out if that's where this is going.

That being said, when factoring in prison populations, and assuming women aren't lying (heh), more men than women are rape victims in the US. The notion that it's primarily a problem for women is patently false.

When teachers sign up for their job, it's pretty much understood that they should not have sexual contact with a student.

Is it? When they routinely get slapped on the wrist for it, when news media calls it "an affair", is that really sending the message that it's wrong for a female teacher to rape a male student?

Actually it's not. It's so that victims can receive a fair investigation by police, and also receive social services they are entitled to by the state. If you don't "believe" someone, then how can a police do an unbiased investigation, and how can a doctor perform a DNA rape kit? And how can your family emotionally support you, if they don't believe you? Belief has nothing to do with presuming guilt onto another person. That's what our courts are for.

Government, non-profit, and national agencies have hard statistics which showcase the rates & instances of rape coupled with false reporting. The numbers exist. They are there, yet you want to ignore it because you think that women are mentally ill and running around making up lies. No really, it's actually kind of interesting what you're doing. Women were institutionalized a hundred years ago because doctors thought they were "crazy" for talking about physical pain or anything that bothered them. What you're saying about women being crazy liars who want to ruin mens lives is not really any different...

Well, considering the average incidence of false accusations for other crimes clocks in at around 2%, I'd say it's a very clear example that false rape accusations are common. And hell, when you can have as much as 10% chance of it being an outright lie, I don't see much point to those advocating a woman's word being considered evidence in itself, or men being considered guilty until proven innocent.

Wait, what? Wouldn't that more so point to it being uncommon? If the stats across the board for false reporting with 'any crime' falls around the 2-10% mark, then why wouldn't rape be consistent with that? If it is consistent with all crime, then false reporting is "low" and not an "epidemic", right? I'm sorry just trying to follow the logic here.

I don't see much point to those advocating a woman's word being considered evidence in itself.

Also what? It's not ever based on word alone. When does that happen? Any conviction of rape that I've ever seen is a combination of DNA, witness testimony, medical expertise, etc.

Statistics from government and national crime boards are "absurd"? What stats are you using, then? Formal agencies seem pretty reliable at this point in saying that this is a marginal occurrence. That's not to say it isn't serious when it does happen, but I just don't see this as being on the level of lets say, daily gun violence in America...(which is a real epidemic.)
