Women say they feel left out of social events

Pretty much every guy has a story to tell about some hyper-sensitive female snowflake, most likely a feminist, who took an offhanded or innocent comment the wrong way, went to HR to complain about it, and a man paid the price for her hurt feelings.

Remembering that:

1) social occasions are times when people like to relax, have a few drinks and speak more frankly than they would in a professional setting; and

2) company-related social occasions still fall under the remit of the HR department; and

3) HR departments are nearly all female these days, and openly hostile to men - especially when there's a woman claiming to be offended.

It should be obvious why the last thing men would want at a social event is a "bomb" that could explode at any time and destroy their careers.

Ultimately women end up quitting tech jobs at more than double the rate of men

Although stated in the context of the case that we should be doing more to promote women in tech, this remark tells any rational mind that pushing this agenda is a big waste of money, before we get down to the morality of it.
