They studied how often European rulers went to war between 1480 and 1913. Over 193 reigns, they found that states ruled by queens were 27% more likely to wage war than those ruled by kings.

Women in power sending men to suffer and die on their behalf.

Though, it does not have to do with women being evil or anything, in case some feminist is looking for something we said. It is because of a few things, the women feeling less secure in their power and relying less on advisors (who tend to advise against war) and they tend to lack on the ground experience with war.

The theory I have heard about this is when a married king was the ruling monarch he generally covered both foreign and domestic issues. When a married queen was the ruling monarch she covered foreign or domestic issues while he covered the other issues. When they were both sharing the work load they were more able to carry out big projects like war.
