No. The Paris accords were a terrible agreement for the USA, and Trump knew that. They also would have minuscule impacts on the global climate EVEN IF the models were correct (and they are not!) and would have, at best, resulted in a fraction of a degree less warming by 2100. And none of the other countries are even coming CLOSE to meeting their CO2 reduction targets so far; only the USA has achieved the CO2 reduction that we promised in the LAST round of climate talks, and we did that by switching from coal to natural gas for a lot of power plants.

In reality, however, the climate models stink and don't account for a number of factors that they don't know how to model, such as water vapor in the air. Nor do they account for the climate effects of the quiescence of the solar cycle; we're more likely to see COLDER temperatures by 2050 than warmer.

So, Macron's temper tantrum probably had no impact on Trump's decision.
