How do you as a man deal with your body image? And or, how has it changed over the years.

When I find something on my body I don't like I either try and change it depending on how much I dislike it or deal with having it.

I don't have a giant cry about it and try and make the world pay for the fact that I didn't win every single aspect of the genetic lottery down to perfect pinky toes.

Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I can speak for myself. To me it seems the older I get, the less I care about it. In my 20's I worked out to (to be blunt) look good naked. Now I'm married with a kid. I've just started working out again, not for looks, but for health. That and my 3 year old runs circles around me, and I get winded getting out of the easy chair. I have 2 more coming (custody fight, brother in law's girlfriend got kids taken away, he's in jail. It's us vs girlfriends cousin) and I kind of need to be in shape to deal with them.

I'm a short white dude so I'm already defaulted to have it pretty bad I guess. I ended up marrying someone way too hot for me but we are still happily married with a kid. I'm not bald and about 20lbs over weight and neither of us care. That's ultimately what matters. I'm not an unhealthy fat, just like food and booze fat. But my wife isn't turned off by me and it's not emotionally or physically harming me so it's all good.

I've been told I have a "dad bod" and had a few female coworkers pat me on the stomach joking that i was pregnant. I have put on weight in the past few years, working nights and having two little kids. Imagine if I called out some of these women and did the same thing to them? Men are constantly bombarded by images of 2% body fat guys with swimmers builds or muscles upon muscles. It sucks but Ken get on with it.

I don't care about body image at all. I'm bald, pale and thin and it has never held me back with the opposite sex.

Dressing and lifting for women is only empowering them more.

Males don't suffer from body image as women do. Men suffer from image issues some times. This image is normally to do with height and financial prospective as these are the traits found most desirable in men.

Females suffer from body image and beauty image issues as these are the two most important qualities males look for for mating.

Males desire to pass their genes to the most attractive in order to sustain his line. Females desire to pass their genes to the one most likely to provide protection and sustenance.

As a Gay guy I go to the gym every day and I eat well. I dress in a manner that is timeless. As an older man I never want to be taken for mutton dressed as lizard.
