No, Zoe, your ignorance of history shows. Spoilt, high-status women like yourself are and have always been the worst enemies of human rights for low-status men. Status, not gender, determined quality of life.

Excavations from ancient graves show high-status women living to a ripe old age (e.g., Roman citizens), while the low-status men serving them died young (e.g., Roman slaves).

And, of course, we all know of the ten thousand or more black men who died in barbaric, sadistic, and bloody lynchings in the US South to satisfy the blood lust of the white women alleging sexual impropriety.

MRA John Gordon, in his Myth of the Monstrous Male, details how white women have brutalised black men throughout history, up to and including appropriating "ism" and affirmative action for their own purposes, turning society's attention from the vicious racism against black males to the fabricated sexism against well-off white women, and turning positive discrimination from poor, black male beneficiaries to well-off, white females.

But little can top the hypocrisy of Gloria Steinem and the NYT which rushed to print her drivel:

All Saldana and Steinem show by their loudmouth declarations is a combination of gynocentrism, ignorance, and rank hypocrisy.

I would say that both racism and sexism have an equally significant impact in America... That is to say that both are the subject of constant allegations, and only about 15% of the time do the allegations prove accurate. The other 85% of the time it's proven to be paranoia and baiting.
