Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Mother-of-two, 40, falsely branded a neighbour a sex offender because he 'made too much noise building a guinea pig hutch in his garden'. It seems for many women if they do not get their way they make a false sex allegation knowing a man is not protected by the law.

The crimalisation of predominantly male anti-social behavior is as old as time itself and the backbone of modern western justice systems.

Men are more of a threat to those in power than women, hence are kept in place via the law more strictly. Malicious gossip, cuckolding, false rape accusations etc. can ruin a persons life yet receive little to no legal sanction.

cuckolding

A single mom with her bastard spawn is not on the government tit = socially acceptable by the powers that be. See France as a great example (they ban paternity tests unless princess approves).

false rape accusations

Inflates the rape statistics and keeps the private prisons full of happy customers = not a big deal, you're just being paranoid

Oh noes, plz don't arrest women doing crimes, thats racist!

[–]McFeely_Smackup 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Translation: "2/3 of people prosecuted for this crime are women, therefore we need to stop prosecuting the women"

Alternative: Ladies, maybe stop stealing? Is that even an option?

Notice there's no suggestion that they're being falsely prosecuted, but it still needs to stop because women are the perpetrators.

The end goal is most likely to let women bypass the license requirement altogether and add that to their collection of pussy passes.

https://recombu.com/digital/article/tv-licence-fee-myths-busted# Has information about tv license fees in the uk. It has information for the number of people handed custodial sentences for refusing to pay the fine for the 2005-2013. Interestingly enough the number of men has been in decline while the number of women receiving custodial sentences has been increasing. 2004-2008 men have been receiving more custodial sentence every year. But from 2009 and onwards, women have been receiving more custodial sentences. I'm not sure what is responsible for this shift.

I would suspect that there are more male cord cutters given the fact that an increasingly greater percentage of tv programming is geared towards women.

[–]DavidByron2 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If women do it, maybe we shouldn't treat it as bad? I guess it's worse than that. They are saying things aren't sexist right now so we need to make them sexist so that less women are caught. Then we can lock up only the men by saying they are more criminal - everyone knows that, why else would so many more men be in jails?

[–]LedZeppelin1602 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So instead of punishing female criminals just append the law to suit them?

If women weren't such deadbeats, the BBC wouldn't be coming after them.

In our last house the TV licence was in my name, when i was late paying i never heard a thing. Now it's in my wife's name, after two days of a late payment they are on the phone questioning when she will make a payment.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Nice story. BUT - Could it be that in your last house the program to collect late fees was not as aggressive as it is right now WHICH BTW, is the exact point of the story in the OP.

Have you considered it was a coincidence OR perhaps the company knows you are married to this woman and that your household already has a history of not paying.

[–]568-47-0008 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It was 6 months ago. And we always pay, maybe sometimes a week late due to the card they gave us which we need to pay in a new agents (in which we hardly ever go to).

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Now I am confused. "WE ALWAYS PAY" and "SOMETIMES A WEEK LATE" are opposites of each other when it comes to bill collecting. "Sometimes" shows that you and your wife have been late more than once, this would trigger a call for sure.

Your immediate reaction that it must be sexism could very well be wrong especially with the details you have provided that you are sometimes late.

[–]568-47-0008 -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Since you can't read between the lines, here we go. We always pay (either on time or late, but the bill is always settled). I missed the payment date around 4 times in 12 months and never had a call. My wife missed it twice in 8 months, and each time received a call.

Although antidotal, that's our experience. Is there anything else you want to pick at?

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So you acknowledge that you are late A LOT and are upset that your wife got a call. You seem to suggest this is because she is a woman when it is actually more likely you hit a threshold and now will get calls whenever you are late. If you really want to test this, just change it back to your name and see what happens.

Ok

Let us know how it works out. Should be interesting.

Women are less likely to be single and so are more likely to have at least one income from which they can draw.
