When we talk about innocent women and children, if we're excluding groups from that, we're excluding men from that, the underlying assumption seems to be that the men aren't innocent, they're guilty

I realise she's probably virtue signalling a bit there to stay in the good graces of her university, but that is total bullshit, most in the media despise men, they're garden variety feminists. I have to say though, I am pretty stunned that CBC is reporting on this type of thing so often and giving the other side a fair hearing. What the fuck is going on here? They used to be terrible before.

Google Trends comparing 'women and children' to 'men women and children' shows a relatively constant ratio of both terms being used. Though I'd expect that phrase to become less popular since it does indeed make women look a bit pathetic.
