You know what? There were immediately a lot of jokes about banning 'assault trucks' and so on in the comments pages when talking about what the responses would be and just like in the comments here everybody is stunned they've actually proposed this seriously.

These people are just deranged, enough is enough, people who refuse to even acknowledge reality shouldn't be any position of power at all.

The title is just pure clickbait and also editorialisation of the worst degree.

Aftonbladet wrote that they should ban cars from shopping areas and city centers where cars really aren't needed (since Nordic/European city centers are easily traversed by foot). They did not advocate for a ban of cars anywhere else. The ban is meant to stop any old loon from just driving full speed down the shopping streets packed with people.

The second part of OP's title was not even part of the Breitbart title, but is a quote from within the article from an MP who stated that a long time ago. She is an odd and sexist duck, no doubt, but her statement has nothing to do with the proposal from Aftonbladet.

Sweden is just going to burn itself to the ground if it keeps on heading this direction. They're at the point where they can't be satirized. Home of "gender equal snow removal" (read: female prioritized ploughing that shuts down the country's capital), "Manspreading", "the world's first men's rape crisis centre" (Ie Sweden finally allowed men into a rape crisis centre and though that was very high minded of themselves), completely open borders for anyone claiming refugee status (this includes 45 year olds claiming to be children and being allowed to attend primary school). It's nuts. A country can't survive much more of this kind of bullshit.
