On the topic of challenging people to say something flattering: I had a date last week, the woman was (even by her own admission) pretty rude, saying several unflattering things about my appearance pretty much out of nowhere, including calling me skinny when I am in fact right in the middle of my BMI range. So I told her if she couldn't find one nice thing to say about me I was going to leave. She looked pretty crushed and said she was too drunk. I was like, 'listen lady if you haven't got a single nice thing to say about me WTF are we doing on a date together?!?!' I was not impressed.
