To echo what a lot of the other mods have said - we do remove things that are blatantly not PPD and for everything else we let upvotes decide.

We are a laid back mod team but that doesn't mean we aren't active daily. We moderate appropriately and I'm proud of how much we let be rather than the standard power abusing nazi mods you find elsewhere on Reddit

First: I cannot speak for the other mods. I have been here a week.

The issue comes down to how EXACTLY do we decide what PPD is?

Sometimes it's really easy. Girl starts punching man, says something like "what are you goimg to do, hit a girl?" and then he hits her back. That is clear cut. A woman expecting her gender to protect her from retaliation from her own actions.

As for the Brandon post, some people think that is PPD because a woman insulted a man and he reaponded way out of proportion.

From what I've seen, the mods try and walk a fine line between allowing opem discussion , trying to mai tain the original point of the sub but NOT to clamp down amd become a ridiculously over modded sub like /r/WorldNews.

We need the users to help us out. Use the downvote button. Use the report button. Ask the OP how it is PPD and report it if they can't give a reason.

I don't hate women in the slightest. I don't think I'm better than anyone here. I don't think it's fun to see a man beat a woman for no reason. But I do think that there is a lot of PPD that people will mever see eye to eye on, so we need you to work with the people who made the sub.

There are certainly lots of posts I do not agree with as being PPD. There are two trains of thoughts on this. Some mods in certain subs have strict rules and go overboard on sticking to them. That is never how I have ever run the sub. PPD was a concept created by me and morphed by the community here.

The second way to run a sub is to run a light touch approach which is what we do. Some posts which I am on the fence about personally I think the best thing is just leave it and let the community decide with votes and comments, I will troll the idiots relentlessly.

There are lots of important conversations that have happened here. Actually the most hate I get is from white knight concern trolls like you and not women.

This sub will continue to evolve as it has done since day 1. There is no chance we will please everyone because of our size but literally no fucks are given when concern trolls like you show up.

I posted Amy Schumer's Instagram tirade. I had several posters tell me it wasn't PPD. I disagree. She was mad she got bad reviews and blamed everyone but her own shitty jokes.

That being said I realized I'm not the arbiter of what is or isn't PPD. I left it for the community to decide.

I know exactly the types of posts you're talking about, and probably the particular one that provoked you to make this post. With these types of posts sometimes it is often debateable whether it was a PPD or not. You and others may not think so but if the post is getting hundreds, if not thousands, of upvotes then it's obviously that most people like the post, why spoil the fun? Sometimes a post may not be strictly PPD but certainly funny as fuck so they tend to get left up. A laugh never really hurt anyone. While I acknowledge that there is a portion of the community who will certainly agree with you, as a relatively new mod I don't like removing posts that already have hundreds of upvotes. I'm still watching and learning (and removing reposts), ultimately I think it's down to /u/mustaka.

I know this post upset a few people but judging by the vote ratio, i'd say the majority of the users liked it. However, we also understand posts like these can be annoying to some core subs, but tbh if we removed all the meme/shitposts, this sub would be dry for content and filled with reposts. Alot of users dont consider that. Also, Pussy passes being denied is a rare occurrence in todays society, so [FRESH] content is hard to come by, but when it does get denied, you can bet it will be here.

I've been browsing this sub for a few months now and it has gone from content involving women trying to use being a woman to their advantage to random events where women are somehow losing the battle. A good example is the recent video of the rape culture protest in Canada. It got a ton of upvotes, and yeah it's an interesting video, but it shouldn't be posted here. Nowhere in the video were women attempting to use being a woman to win in a situation and ended up losing, and that I believe is how the altercation should be defined.
